A nonprofit, online ministry focused on providing Christian grief resources to teenagers
Introduction to Our Statement of Faith
The following statement is from Cornerstone Missionary Fellowship's website (cmfmn.org) with minor grammatical changes to improve readability. [Cornerstone is a church that supports Hope of Heaven for Teens through their original mentorship to the website founder in 2023 - 2025 and by managing the CheddarUp account we use to receive donations.]
Even though the founder of Hope of Heaven for Teens did not write this statement, this website runs in alignment with all doctrines expressed in this Statement of Faith. We cannot accept submissions that openly or subtly contradict any of the points below.
We believe that these statements are core beliefs and gladly welcome diverse theological perspectives about ‘minor’ points within these. (See our explanation of our ‘Ecumenism’ value on the ‘About’ page for a more detailed explanation.)

Our Statement of Faith

We believe the Bible to be the inspired, infallible, authoritative, and inerrant Word of God (2 Timothy 3:15-17; 1 Peter 1:21).

We believe there is one God, eternally existing in three persons: the Father, Son and Holy Spirit (Genesis 1:1; Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19; John 10:30).
On Scripture:
The Trinity:
Jesus Christ:
We believe in
-
the deity of Christ (John 10:33)
-
His virgin birth (Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 1:23; Luke 1:34-35)
-
His sinless life (Hebrews 4:15, 7:26)
-
His miracles (John 2:11)
-
His vicarious and atoning death (1 Corinthians 15:3; Ephesians 1:7; Hebrews 2:9)
-
His resurrection (John 11:25; 1 Corinthians 15:4)
-
His ascension to the right hand of the Father where He intercedes for His people as High Priest (Mark 16:19, Romans 8:34, Hebrews 4:14)
-
His personal return to earth in power and glory (Acts 1:11; Revelation 19:11-16).

Humanity:
We believe that humans were originally created in the image and likeness of God (Genesis 1:27).
Then they fell through disobedience, which caused immediate spiritual death and, eventually, physical death.
All members of humanity are born with a sinful nature (Romans 3:23) and are separated from the life of God (Isaiah 59:1-2).
They can only be saved through the atoning work of the Lord Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 15:20-23), which God made available to all mankind, not because of our own merit but because of His grace and mercy (Ephesians 2:8-9).
Universal Ressurection & Eternal Destinations:
We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost.
We believe that the unrepentant and unbelieving exist forever in conscious torment (Revelation 21:8), known as Hell.
We believe that the believer, saved by the atoning work of Christ, will resurrect to everlasting joy and bliss in the presence of God (Revelation 21:1-4), known as Heaven.

Global Christian Unity Across Denominations & Churches:
We believe in the spiritual unity of the believers in our Lord Jesus Christ (Romans 8:9; 1 Corinthians 12:12-13; Galatians 3:26-28).

The Holy Spirit:
We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit who dwells in (1 Corinthians 3:16) and enables the believer to live a godly life (Romans 8:13-14; 6:19-20; Ephesians 4:30, 5:18).
We believe that we as Christians are examples of the love of God in this world. It is this love that we desire to possess and without which we have no right to call ourselves Christians (1 John 4:16-17).
We believe it is the mandate of the whole Church to go and make disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:18-20).
